In July, SFF's deputy director, Stephanie Levin, led conversation about how districts can use data to better understand whether resources are supporting intended outcomes. The panel explored how staffing, time, funding, and program supports work together over time—and how districts can use existing data to assess alignment with priorities. Participants came away with practical approaches for supporting more coordinated decision-making across finance, grants, and program teams.

Panelists:

  • Dallon Christensen- Executive Director of Finance and Business Services and Board Secretary - Perry Community School District
  • Craig Schilling, Ed.D- Professor of Educational Leadership and Program Chair, Concordia University Chicago

This webinar introduced the concept of Relevant Return on Resources for Complex Learning Systems—a framework recently advanced by our deputy director, Stephanie Levin—and explored how to rethink return on investment in education. It examined how resources work together, highlighted ways to use existing data to assess alignment, and discussed strategies for coordinating across finance, grants, and programs.
