The Federal Scholarship Tax Credit & K–12 Education: What’s Next for States, Schools, and Families

A new federal scholarship tax credit is set to take effect in 2027, creating new opportunities for families while raising important questions for states, schools, and scholarship-granting organizations.

Join us for a timely conversation about what the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit could mean in practice. The program allows individual taxpayers to receive a federal tax credit of up to $1,700 for qualifying contributions to scholarship-granting organizations, or SGOs. As states prepare for the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit (FSTC), they face critical questions about implementation, data and reporting, oversight, and access for all students.

Building on the proposed federal regulations, this webinar will move beyond the policy basics and look ahead to implementation.

Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of the opportunities, risks, implementation considerations, and unanswered questions states should be watching as 2027 approaches.
